Lately I’ve been playing with a few different iced coffee recipes to make as a part of my routine. I’ve gotten to the point where almost daily, I find myself heading out to one of the many coffee chains in my neighbourhood which is definitely soaking up some of my cash flow. Not only is this new recipe delicious, it’s going to save me some big bucks! Plus it’s a bonus that you can make it into countless different drinks with easy to make recipes you can find on sites like Pinterest.
Making iced coffee is so much more than just sticking ice cubes in a Keurig made coffee, but it’s still super easy to make!
All you need is:
- Measuring cup (One for wet and one for dry ingredients)
- Ground coffee
- Jar for the coffee
- Fine mesh sieve
The first thing I do when I’ve gathered everything I need is scoop about 1 1/3 cups of coffee into my jar.
I then add 4 cups of water to the jar. You want the coffee to really get the chance to brew, so just leave the jar at room temperature for 8-12 hours. Something you could prepare at night for the next morning.
After it has had a chance to brew, run the coffee through a sieve twice to really get out all of the smaller coffee grains out of the liquid.
That’s it! It really is that easy. Now you can have it however you prefer it, and play with a bunch of online recipes to see what works best for you!
Have you ever made iced coffee this way before?
