In June of last year, I got the chance to go to Niagara Falls with my best friend for a night and stay at the Hilton Hotel!
Unfortunately when we were there, there was a lot of renovations going on to the exterior of the building, so we weren’t able to see the beauty of the building. The inside however, was wonderful!
First, we were greeted at check in by a really friendly gentleman who during our check in was chatting happily about the maid of the mist and having had worked on there when he was a teen. We had arrived a little early, but were allowed to head up to the room anyways.
The room itself was breathtaking. The rooms in the hotel had been recently renovated as well, and they looked classy. The room was open with a large bed, and a sitting area. The bathroom had a large soaker jet tub and separate stand up shower.
We had chosen a room with a view over the falls. It was beautiful, but it was a pity that the tall tower from the casino across the street was obstructing our view. It was still fun to see the lights behind the falls from our bedroom.
The bed was comfortable, and the television also had quite a bit to choose from in the way of channels to watch I thought, and most importantly, everything was clean! It was over all a very comfortable experience!
We didn’t explore much of the hotel itself, as we spent our whole day walking around Niagara and checking out the sites, but it had a decent pool. We were going to go for a swim earlier, but decided to head out again, then in the evening we didn’t bring a loonie for the lockers at the pool, and there were a lot of children at that point, so we decided to forego the experience and got ready to go to the casino across the street!
I would rate my experience at the Hilton at a 4.5. I wish there was a clear view of the falls from the bedroom although I realize that wasn’t their fault. Otherwise, I had a wonderful stay. I would recommend this place to friends, but next time I think I will put the money out to stay the night at the Falls Casino.
