Fall Traditions

Day 6 of the September blogging challenge.

Today we are supposed to focus on my family’s fall traditions, so I asked my mom what she considers our traditions. We don’t really do much in the way of fall traditions, but for my mom this is the time of year where she loves to get cozy with crafts such as cross stitch and knitting.

For me, what I would consider a fall tradition is when I watch the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and Halloween episodes. That’s when it hits me that the season is officially changing.

Some years I also carve a pumpkin with a friend, here is how it turned out last year:

The Starbucks red cups technically come out in the fall too, which gets me excited for the winter season. Maybe I’m basic, but this is totally exciting for me! Plus, doesn’t it look great with the beautiful leaves??

And call me crazy, but I kind of love when it gets a little bit dreary out. It’s nice to curl up and get cozy with a book. In case you can’t tell by how much I use the word cozy in this challenge, this family thrives on it!

This year I’m really craving experiencing going to an apple orchard/pumpkin patch, so hopefully that will become a new tradition starting this year!

Lastly, I love watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! I would love to see it in person one day, but for now, again, I like being cozy at home watching it!
