My bucket list seems to be growing longer by the day, but of course there are a few places that rank higher on the list than others. One of those places for me is Bali Indonesia.
I find I’ve been spending a lot of time on Pinterest lately, and keep coming across photos from different areas across the island and it looks like a dream come true. While pinning the different photos and articles from Bali, I can’t help but begin to plan an adventure of my own. I know Bali is a beautiful place, so I figure a post like this can help with your wanderlust too!
1. Volcano Hiking
This seems so amazing to me! You can join a guide for a hike up one of Bali’s four volcanos and see the world in a whole new light. Apparently sun rise hikes are all the rage, and it’s not hard to imagine why. There is always a special feeling being out as the sun rises no matter where you are. Think of how special that would be from a volcano!
2. Pura Besakih
Temples are an amazing way to learn about the richness of the history, culture, and religion of where you are visiting. When I make it to Thailand, I would love to experience the Pura Besakih Temple. Not only is it gorgeous, it is the largest and considered the holiest temple in Bali.
3. Tegallalang Rice Terraces
I have always been interested in visiting rice fields, and this looks like a good place to do it. So much greenery and beautiful nature around, it seems that this is another way to really get a look at the life in Bali and really see the different nature it has to offer especially compared to what you can see here in North America.
For a bit of fun in the sun, this looks like a really fun water park that you might not want to miss out on if you’re in Bali. It is considered the best waterpark in Asia and it certainly looks the part!
5. Ubud Monkey Forest
I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to visit here one day! I love monkeys so much, and I would love to see them in their natural habitat! I have been warned though, watch your belongings because they are sneaky little thieves!
6. Café Organic
I have seen a lot of bloggers take photos of their meals here, and they are always so colourful, fun and look delicious! Not only is it fun and healthy to eat, it’s obviously great for an Instagram photo-op too, am I right?
7. The Yoga Barn
I’ve never done a yoga class before, but I feel like if you’re in Bali, you can’t miss the opportunity to take a yoga class! Apparently a place to check out for the best experience is The Yoga Barn in Ubud, and I would love the chance to try out a class here. Maybe some practice would be handy first!
8. Green Bowl Beach
I read about this beach through another blogger’s post and it is stunning! Apparently it’s a great beach to visit to escape some of the larger crowds, and it’s beautiful! There are quite a few steps down to the beach though, so really enjoy your time there before the hike back up!
9. Pura Luhur Uluwatu Temple
Another temple to check out, since there are so many to choose from. Not only is it a great temple to check out, but the surrounding area is absolutely breathtaking, it would be a shame to miss this place!
10. A Private Villa
I know this isn’t an actual ‘place’ but apparently Bali is so affordable to travel (once you’re there) that it’s worth it to rent your own villa instead of putting yourself up at a local hostel. A 5star experience without much of the 5star price! Bebek Tepi Sawah is an example of a beautiful villa you could experience in Bali! Check out Traveloka for the Bebek Tepi Sawah best rate, or for the rates of other villas in the area of your choice!
