Canadian Winter

Canadian Winter – A Photo Essay.

This past week in Toronto has been beautifully cool. We’ve had windows open daily and it’s been grey. Although it is a welcome relief from the humidity we’d been experiencing lately, it is also a reminder that the days are getting colder and shorter. I love fall, don’t get me wrong. Fresh breeze, the crunch of beautiful coloured leaves beneath your feet, Pumpkin Spice Lattes…. but it has a sense of sadness with it. I am always so depressed to see the summer fade. Knowing that the cold season is just beginning is a bummer! Since it’s still warm out though, I’m able to appreciate the Canadian winter a bit better since I’m not physically feeling the harsh chill on my skin. I happened to come across some photos recently from the past two years of deep Canadian winter mostly taken on my commute to school and decided it could be fun to share them! Enjoy 🙂

Beautiful photos, you can see you’re very passionate about photography just looking at them. Very talented. I’m yet to visit Canada yet but hoping to spend a year there at some point so I get to enjoy all seasons and see what a proper winter actually feels like! B x

Thank you Becka! That means a lot to me 🙂 Let me know if you’re ever around, it would be neat to meet up! The winter will be fun at first, but it may lose it’s appeal after a few months 😉

Something I will never forget in my life: the Canadian winter!
I lived in Winnipeg for 1 year, and it was certainly the most unforgettable time of my life.
I really do remember the -50’s hahah
As you, I am also sad to see summer fading… and here in Germany the winter isn’t even that bad.

Happy to have you on #MondayEscapes

Haha, yes a Canadian winter is hard to forget! Luckily I don’t think I’ve ever seen the -50s… yet!
I remember experiencing Germany in the fall – very beautiful!
